Quality. Everyone in business agrees on the importance of quality control.
That's us.

The process

For each project, we:

  • assess the source text
  • offer a competitive quote, considering a number of factors such as linguistic and technical aspects, style, register, time frames, etc.
  • select the best translator(s) for the project
  • revise, edit and proofread accurately and efficiently

We strongly believe this last step to be crucial to a good translation. Our thorough revision process is what sets us apart.

Some translation agencies rely on the track record of their freelance and in‑house translators and rarely check their work, relying only on a spot check or random sampling.

We don’t. Revision to ensure consistently high quality is our strength.

Quality control

Our in‑house team works alongside translators and clients throughout the project to guarantee smooth progress and a successful outcome every single time.

We work in partnership with our translators, because we believe that two pairs of eyes are always better than one.

We work in partnership with our clients, because we know how important every single project is for them and how different their needs can be. We want to get it just right.

The standards

Focusing on the need to document as well as provide quality, we decided at an early stage to ensure that our procedures complied with the ISO Quality Management System standard. In July 2005, Zebra’s system was approved by Lloyds’ Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) and we became ISO 9001 certified. We have been undergoing regular audits since, guaranteeing consistent quality.

The quality concept is something that permeates our whole approach to work and is second nature to us. And our clients agree – see Client Testimonials.

Going forward: translation and new technology

Technology has changed many aspects of our lives in the last few years, and the world of translation is no different. New technology now offers resources that allow translators and revisers to guarantee an even quicker and more consistent overall result.

And Zebra is happy to comply. If you have already used a computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool for your project, already have a translation memory or would like to know more, mention it to our PMs when asking for a quote and we will be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

The more frequently we work together, the quicker and easier your projects will become, because consistency is the key factor to making life easier for you. Also, we are ready to comply with your preferred terminology, if you already have a terminology database. If not, we can build one together.

Of course we already comply with all the standard terminology and templates of the medical and pharmaceutical field, so you don’t have to worry about that. We can also advise you on any aspect related to this, if you have any doubts. We know what we’re doing.
